| 50th Anniversary Plush Smurf set It was was sold by QVC (first edition of 25,000) and Toys R Us in the US. As far as I know these were sold on the American market only. There are two differences in the two sets. The QVC box has on top of the box, and the box is totally closed, whereas the box from Toys R Us has an opening where you can press the hand of the smurf. When you press the hand of the smurf, the theme song of the smurf cartoon plays. See it here Markings: © Peyo 2008 Licensed through Lafig Belgium Manufactured under license by Play Along (HongKong) a division of JAKKS Pacific Inc. |

| smurfette from Albert Heijn, and also three smurfs that were sold without the box, except that the three boxed smurfs talked when their hand was pushed. All three also came with a different DVD that was taped to the box (this explains the why I took pictures of the DVDs in the box, as I did not want to take the boxed set apart) The markings of all three are Play Along - A Division of Jakks Pacific © Peyo 2008 Lic. through Lafig Belgium Made in China Manufactured under license by Play Along (HongKong) a division of JAKKS Pacific Inc. All three also do not have the tag that the loose smurfs have (I only have the loose Papa Smurf pictures above the anniversary set. | In 2009, more Plushes were released by JAKKS Pacific with the PlayAlong Tags. The smurfs are slightly different, the boxes include a different DVD and even the boxes differ. Here is a side view of the boxes (left 2009, right 2009) |

| Homemade unlicensed Plush These are made out of lambwool. The mother in law of a Swedish smurf collector is very imagitive in creating different motives out of lambwool and has also made several different smurf plushes, three of which I was able to buy from her |
