These are the Variations and smurfs I own of this particular mold. By no means, is this a complete list and it will hopefully be updated quite frequently. For
a complete list of marking variations of this mold as well as it's history, please refer to this very helpful website

These were released in the early 80s in England and also South Africa, probably to celebrate the Rugby
Union World Cup. They are in the team colors of the teams playing the worldcup back then. While English
collectors remember them sold individually as figures, we have now more and more evidence that they were
sold in BP bags in South Africa.
These are among the most popular rare smurfs, and one should always be careful of fake repaints because
of the high amount of money they sell for. They also should always be come on the grassy base with the W.
Germany markings, although it is left to the collector to decide if a genuine painted Rugby smurf on a HK
base is a fake or not. The smurf wasn't changed, but put on the incorrect base so I personally still consider
them genuine even if slightly less valuable than those on the correct W. Germany marked base.
